Calvince Odira
From a boy who lost everything to a teacher who gives back
Calvince joined the orphanage in 2006 at the age of 12. This happened after he lost all his parents due to a road accident. He was left with no one, not even any relatives to take care of him.
We took him through primary and Secondary Education where he did well. Thereafter he joined Teacher college and he is now a teacher. He voluntarily teaches Eating Stone children at Wisdom Academy everyday and he is also working as a teacher in other schools to earn a living.
Calvince has started a family and has been blessed with one kid.
He is dedicated and devoted to helping Eating Stone with all he can.
Robin Auma
From a girl with nowhere to turn to a nurse in training
Robin came to us in 2007 at the age of 11. She was left alone with her grandmother who could not take care of her because of her health condition and complete poverty. As she had no one to turn to she joined us through the recommendations of the local administration for assistance.
Robin has grown up a disciplined girl, who went through primary Education at Kabiria and attained her KCPE certificate to join Yemit girls secondary school where she passed and attained grade B- in KCSE.
She is now a successful student at Thogoto Nursing College where she is taking a diploma in Pre-operative theatre technique.
Robin is dedicated to support us after she is through with her studies and she is willing to sponsor our children in the future.
Ronny Ochieng
From the streets of Ngong Road to the sixth semester of a medicine degree
Ronny came to the orphanage in 2008 at the age of 10. He was among the children brother Florian picked from the streets along the Nakumatt Prestige along Ngong road.
After he joined us he was admitted to Kabiria Primary School. He took 5 years from grade 4 to 8 and attained Kenya Certificate of Primary Education. Through support from well wishers like Tumblinger Schule in Munich, he was able to join high school at Kanyawanga where he went through form one to form four (4 years).
He successfully earned Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education scoring grade B and was admitted at St.Pauls University taking Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery. Now he is at his 6th semester with fees balance of ksh 400,000 to completion.
