Here is where your support goes and how every child comes to be in our care.
Where your support goes
All members of the Team work voluntarily. No salaries are paid. So every Cent of your donation goes straight to the children’s needs.
Our overall annual budget:
The majority of our budget goes toward providing daily meals for the children. Expenses like school fees, learning materials, and rent are fixed costs we need to cover. Any remaining funds are used for household supplies and medical care.
We are a registered organisation.
The Eating Stone Organisation is a registered Kenyan NGO.
It was entered on the national register on 26 January 2015, under section 10 of the Non-Governmental Organisations Co-ordination Act by the NGO Co-ordination Board of the Republic of Kenya. This means our work is documented and accountable under Kenyan law. Eating Stone was already caring for children since 2008, but was formally registered in 2015.
How children are admitted
Every placement runs through the Children’s Office in Dagoretti, the local Chief and the community.
For each child there is an official profile that authorises their care with us. This protects the children, whose path is documented and approved of by the authorities.
